Roz and Jason's gorgeous wedding at Salford Priors, Warwickshire
Hasn't the weather been wonderful? Tom and his groomsmen certainly think so as they settle down, in Leamington's Victoria Park
His bride Cathy is gorgeous in the sun when we take the bridal portraits later in the day
The couple married at Leamington's Emmanuel Church in Heath Terrace. High tea in the church was followed by a splending reception at the Windmill Village in Allesley
Gem and Nick chose to marry at St Johns Kenilworth before a splendid reception at Kenilworth's Holiday Inn. It was cold, dark and wet outside so we set the speedlights up for some portraiture indoors
Here to the left in the restaurant where I've borrowed the Damian Lovegrove technique described below, there's no grid on the back light and I've not used any coloured gels either, I think that it works all the same
January and a rather stunning Alex arrives at St Nicholas Church Kenilworth
A wedding in the snow at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel Stratford. The wedding car couldn't make it so poor old Rob had to borrow his brother in law's four wheel drive Porsche. Many thanks to Rob and his beautiful bride Sam for braving the elements and coming out in freezing conditions for some memorable wedding photographs. The sun came out to provide us with some gorgeous out of focus backgrounds, I've used one for the image on my home page
We had a clear sky for the evening and I was able to capture the image left of the hotel's entrance, tripod needed and yes, the sky is for real
Most guests take their camera to weddings now, including me! I captured Jonathan's expression (above, left) as Rachel walked up the aisle at Coventry's Christian Life Ministries Church. The three others seem rather stuck too. I'm using my Canon Powershot S95, ISO 3,200, f5.6 at 1/25s, handheld. Adobe Lightroom has taken care of the noise and Canon's auto white balance would appear to be spot on, I'll sit with the congregation more often
A grand affair for Lucy and James at Ragley Hall. I've recently invested in a 16mm fisheye, held high on my monopod we've caught the entire dining room above
I thought that I'd add a picture of a rather frozen Dunchurch Park near Rugby, you may be concerned about your Winter Wedding. It's minus 5 and your wedding photographer is going to get his fingers frozen off, but there will be some stunning images!
And below the same view this spring
